We use Acupuncture alongside our Physiotherapy services to treat a variety of conditions. We use a scientific medical based approach to Acupuncture. It is a useful adjunct to many painful conditions. Anne-marie is registered with The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Acupuncture is one of the many skills used within Physiotherapy as an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation and as a means of stimulating the body’s own healing chemicals in order to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation.
Acupuncture is a part of the physiotherapy service and therefore you must book a physiotherapy assessment initially. Anne-Marie will discuss with you whether it is an appropriate treatment choice for your particular condition.
Anne-Marie teaches 1:1 modified physiotherapy pilates and yoga exercises.
This starts with an initial assessment looking at any muscle imbalance or non-optimal movement patterns.
You will then be given exercises in order to improve this with close supervision by Anne-marie.
Please note you MUST have a physiotherapy assessment prior to attending the 1:1 class to ensure suitability.
