We use Acupuncture alongside our Physiotherapy services to treat a variety of conditions. We use a scientific medical based approach to Acupuncture. It is a useful adjunct to many painful conditions. Anne-marie is registered with The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Acupuncture is one of the many skills used within Physiotherapy as an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation and as a means of stimulating the body’s own healing chemicals in order to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation.
Acupuncture is used as part of physiotherapy treatment. It may only be used if deemed a suitable treatment option by your physiotherapist.
Anne-Marie teaches 1:1 modified physiotherapy pilates and yoga exercises.
This starts with an initial assessment looking at any muscle imbalance or non-optimal movement patterns.
You will then be given exercises in order to improve this with close supervision by Anne-marie.
Please note you MUST have a physiotherapy assessment prior to attending the 1:1 class to ensure suitability.
Anne-Marie runs a few small group classes a year. Classes are small with a maximum of 3 clients and are run from the physiotherapy clinic room at Les Quennevais sports centre.
Fusion is a blend of physiotherapy based pilates, yoga and Breathwork. These classes combine physiotherapy knowledge of anatomy and movement with the flow and techniques of yoga, pilates and breathing. This is an effective class fusion to improve mobility, strength and well being. All participants must attend a compulsory assessment before the course to discuss medical history and to assess movement patterns and posture. Worried about joining a larger class due to pain, restriction or need more assistance? This could be for you…

Excellent Pilates sessions, I really looked forward to each one over many years. The sessions were effective as well as being fun and highly enjoyable. We also have needed Anne-Marie’s fantastic physio services as well – for someone so petite she can certainly fix people really quickly and certainly gets to the root of problems so that we were able to recover and get back to our normal lives with no problem at all. I cannot recommend Anne-Marie highly enough.
I have been having a monthly MOT with Anne-Marie for a few years now and her expertise is amazing. She knows her stuff! I would highly recommend Anne-Marie to everyone and have also given her details out in the past and my friends have all gone to her and think the same. I will certainly continue to recommend Anne-Marie in the future.
I have seen Anne-Marie both on a 1:1 basis and taken part in her Pilates classes. My lower back is now much stronger and my planter fascitis cured. Anne-Marie is extremely professional and supportive in the way she works and very knowledgeable - plus has a good sense of humour! I highly recommend her as a physiotherapist and a Pilates teacher.
Anne-Marie always works with you and is very encouraging and understanding and I just love the relaxing session at the end.
I had Pilates classes with Anne-Marie for about 4 years. She kept the classes small - mine was a maximum of 7. That enabled her to check every exercise to make sure you were doing it correctly. She varied the exercises from week to week so there was no chance of it becoming boring. She is highly trained and very professional. But also the classes were always fun, and there was always time for a laugh as well.
I have attended Anne-Marie’s pilates classes and they have been great for my bad back. The class sizes are small and Anne-Marie is very attentive making sure everyone is doing the exercises, which are personalised, correctly. The content varies week to week to keep you interested and Anne-Marie is a fabulous teacher, caring and with really warmth!
